Bringing Power to Bullsbrook: Full Rural Electrical Setup from Meter to House, Shed & Gates

If you’ve ever built or renovated on a rural property around Bullsbrook or Perth’s northern outskirts, you’ll know getting reliable power set up can be a mission. Long distances, heavy cabling and Western Power coordination all come into play. That’s where having the right team makes all the difference.

Our crew recently completed a full electrical installation in Bullsbrook, bringing power from the front boundary all the way through to the house, shed and future automated gates.

The challenge

The owner wanted their new property completely powered from day one. The job involved:

  • Installing a new meter box and sub-mains at the property boundary

  • Running close to 500 metres of underground cabling to the house and shed

  • Ensuring everything met Western Power and AS/NZS 3000 standards

  • Leaving a pathway and supply for future gate automation

It was a large-scale rural setup designed to be tough, efficient and built to last.

The work

Our Bullsbrook electricians handled the entire job from start to finish.

  • Installed a 450 x 450 mm meter box on a concrete-set post beside the green dome

  • Laid over 490 metres of 500mm² aluminium single-phase cable inside 123 heavy-duty conduits

  • Installed five galvanised pits for access and testing

  • Connected the main feed to the house, energising the front board and wiring it into the house switchboard

  • Ran sub-mains to the rear shed and fitted off with a main switch and earthing system

  • Added power provision for future front gate automation

All joints were heat-shrunk and tested, the trenches were backfilled and marked with danger tape, and the system was fully tested for compliance.

The result

The property now has a complete, compliant power system in place. The Western Power supply connects at the front, feeding both the house and shed, with extra capacity ready for automated gates when the time comes.

It’s a great example of how we approach rural work at Bailey Electrical & Security Services – practical, tidy and built for the long term.
